I am currently an executive with an international energy company based in The Woodlands, Texas with over 35 years of experience. My first 15 years was spent working as an Exploration Geophysicist in basins all around the world. Using state-of-the-art technology, I was able to explore the Earth's subsurface realm using 3 dimensional seismic data in order to identify prospects that could hold oil & gas. There is a lot of science and technology involved but the most successful explorers also had to use their creativity and imagination to tell the story of each prospect.

The last 20 years of my career has been mostly focused on supervision and leadership. This has been extremely rewarding as I have been able to continue traveling the world leading teams to success in exploration, production and technical services. The downside is that I have personally become detached from being able to apply my own creative talents like I did early in my career in the pursuit of oil & gas.

Ironically, there are many parallels in exploring for oil & gas and filmmaking. Both involve rapidly evolving technology, creative thinking, imagination and story telling. It is for these reasons that I have decided to leverage 40 years of amateur photography knowledge and move into filmmaking. Our planet and its inhabitants are complex, whether it's the geology, environment, wildlife or the shear amount of cultural human diversity that exists today. All of these elements have inspired me to get back to story telling through my new company, Motion In Film.

For now, I am filming on a part-time basis but as I approach retirement from the energy business, I will transition to full-time filmmaking. During the last few years I have shot material in the US, Vietnam, Spain and Canada. I have also begun shooting weddings, gender reveals, outdoor adventures and other family oriented life events. Currently, I am shooting a mini-documentary about a man and his passion for building custom propellers that allows boats to venture into the very shallow waters where most are unable to go in search of Redfish along the Texas Gulf Coast. I also have 2 other projects that have completed shooting and are in post production.
